I drew and painted much as a child and had one year of art education in high school. After college I taught school for five years and when our children arrived I put my paints away until 1998, just before I retired. Now it is a nearly addictive love of my life. Commissioned painting is my preference. I continue to learn and grow as an artist, taking classes with a variety of instructors. |

 The roses were a special commission by Ellen Goodling at almost age 6 for $1.03. The price was later changed to a trade for a portrait of Grandma done by Ellen Goodling. A yellow rose was changed to blue at Ellen's request. |
