Ginger Spangler

Ginger Spangler is a 1996 Summa Cum Laude graduate of UNCC with a BFA degree in painting and Art Education.


  She has won numerous art and academic awards, including the 1996 Outstanding Senior of the Year in Art. In 1996 she was a recipient of the North Carolina Regional Artist Project Grant for her work visually documenting Southern oral traditions. She later served on the NC Regional Artist Grant Panel, once serving as Chair of the committee.  


 
A working artist whose paintings and mixed media collages have been selected for exhibitions throughout the Southeast, Giner has also had a number of solo exhibitions.
 

Most recently she was invited to participate in the "NASCAR Inspired" exhibit at the Hickory Museum of Art where she created a series of collages depicting the early racing career of Ned Jarrett which are curently on exhibit at the Buffalo Creek Gallery in Shelby, NC in addition to her water-based oil paintings.

 
 


 
 
Born in Shelby, North Carolina, she currently resides in Cleveland County with her husband, Ronnie. Daughter, Katie is recently married to Greg Earl of Lawndale. Their son, Josh, is married to Brooke Shantz with a new baby and first grandchild, Bryce.
