Buffalo Creek Gallery is a co-operative art gallery in Shelby, North Carolina, established in May 2006. We consist of 20+ members who display and sell their crafts and cooperatively run the gallery. Each member is responsible for keeping the gallery open at their respective times, handling the cash flow, participating in management decisions, attending membership meetings and maintaining the gallery. We are careful to maintain the highest of standards both in our work and in its presentation in the gallery. With these high standards we will build a strong and lasting business.

Our cooperation is vital to our success. The basis for this cooperation is the trust and respect we have for each other. This allows us to work steadily towards the growth of Buffalo Creek Gallery and all of our members.

We have a number of quality consignment artists whose work is sold in the gallery.

You may apply either to be a member or to sell your work on consignment. Members must live within 50 miles of the gallery and meet the other requirements which can be found on our membership contract. If you are accepted on consignment you will have fewer responsibilities but your selling fees will be higher and you do not have to meet the 50-mile radius requirement (although we prefer you to be as "local" as possible).
